The Bergman Lab received very good news that our NIH R01 on the “Evolution of Retrotransposon Control Mechanisms” was recently awarded. This project will allow us to continue our very fruitful collaboration with David Garfinkel’s Lab on how new transposon control mechanisms evolve in the genus Saccharomcyes. We’re very thankful to the reviewers and NIH staff who helped support the next chapter of this project!
