The final chapter from former Bergman Lab graduate student Jingxuan Chen’s Ph.D. thesis on “Horizontal Transfer and Recombination Fuel Ty4 Retrotransposon Evolution in Saccharomyces” has been accepted for publication at Genome Biology and Evolution. Big thanks to Jingxuan for help getting this paper to the finish line while juggling her new job as a Computational Biologist at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Also, many thanks to the reviewers and handling editors for helping improve the presentation of this complex and challenging genomic puzzle!
